iTunes Free Single Of The Week

Hey

Its that time again for iTunes free single of the week. Each Tuesday a new single is released for you to download and use. It’s free so download it at the latest opportunity. Sorry this post is late I forgot to do it.

UK: MGNT, Weekend Wars

MGMT is a group from Brooklyn whose debut was produced by Flaming Lips constant, Dave Fridmann. They also spent a good part of 2007 creating new fans while opening for Of Montreal. Brightly-lit psychedelic rock with electronic overtones is how you might describe “Weekend Wars.” It’s a blinding pop gem bedazzled with laser rays and glam-rock’s finesse. I really like this one, a keeper.

USA: The Kills, Cheap and Cheerful

The Kills are duo Alison Mossheart and James Hince. The groups; minimal punk noise has shades of ’60’s biker chic in their image (think Peter Fonda in Easy Rider) while the music is a mixture of the first PJ Harvey record, Jesus and Mary Chains’ Psychocandy and the influential noisy lo-fi indie blues of Royal Trux. This new track comes from their new album Midnight Boom, which delivers a dangerous balance of lust and grit with Spank Rock producer Armani XXchange helping out in their quest for perfectly distilled rock ‘n’ roll.

This links will only last a week and will die if you don’t download them before next Tuesday. Until next week enjoy your free single.
