Sorry guys, but I have to agree with Jim on this one. Why not having your mac with a plain black background, one single application on the desktop and nothing else there (we don’t want to waste some memory using WiFi, right?)…bet it would be really fast, but then what’s the point?

When you say 25) Verify Computer Disks
Again under Disk Utilities verify your connected disks. This is to make sure your computer doesn’t bump into any damaged blocks.

what will that do to my computer. is that safe?

also, i’ve had my mac for about two years and never deleted my trash, or emptied it I guess. If I have put programs in there, for example some Dominos game, will emptying my trash, with that in it, uninstall it and give back my disk space?

You left out one very important tip and for me it has got to be one of the best tips I have ever followed. For you to have left out such an amazingly helpful tip, I am beginning to doubt the truth behind all the other tips?! Oh my heavens how could I have not even told you what tip I was talking about. Which could be because I am so befuddled at how you could leave out such an extremely important tip that has saved my life 8 times to date. literally saved my life. There I go again getting off topic and not telling you what it is I am making reference to. Oh yeah that is right I built my own PC.

Although none of these tips will make your Mac hundreds of times faster than it already is, if you have a slow Mac or are experiencing slow downs a couple of these could help. There are lots of them here, but there is always more….
