Win A Copy Of MacPilot or MacCleanse

Hey

Its been a couple of weeks since we have last done a competition, so it sounds like I should do another one. This one is slightly different as I am offering up two different apps courtesy of Koingo. As a winner you get to chose the one you want. There are 2 copies of MacPilot and 2 copies of MacCleanse up for grabs. As usual the competition will last a week, all you have to do is leave a comment.

The Apps

A brief introduction to the apps themselves. MacPilot is designed to find all of those little secret bits in the system which you can change. These are usually the ones you have to access with Terminal. MacPilot can do all of theses changes plus a whole load more automatically for you. If you like customizing your Mac, this program is for you.

MacCleanse is designed to purfiy your system as the authors have put it. If you want to put your Mac on a botox diet MacCleanse will clean log files, caches and other system places to make sure your Mac is squeaky clean. Both applications are really useful for keeping your Mac upto speed.

The Competition

As usual the competition rules are really simple. All you need to do is leave a comment, please mention clearly which program you would like to win, if you don’t I will pick one for you. You have a week to enter this competition so you better get your entry in quick. The last competition had over 90 responses. The rule, to clarify:

  • One entry per person, all you have to do is leave any comment, please don’t spam the comment box.
  • You will only win one license.
  • When leaving a comment please leave a valid email address so I can contact you.
  • Please say which application you would like to win
  • The draw will last a week and will finish 2nd of Dec at 10pm (or if I am out a little later)
  • Please write a proper sentence in your entry, otherwise my spam filter will catch it and your entry will not be recorded.
  • The winner will be chosen at random using a random number generator. You comment number is your entry number.
  • My decision is final. You can plead your case, but I say what goes.

Good luck.

Hi, its interesting competition, love u guys. I’d like to have the Maccleanse please, since I don’t really need to tweak my Macbook for now , on top of that, its running silky smooth, no need for that like Window and I’m new into Macintosh, really dont want to mess into terminal before i know what i do (well, to be fare, there is Time Machine to back me up, another great feature from Mac, way better than back up from Window).

Hello and thanks for the generous offer. I too like this column and have used it to the best of my ability (not huge). It’s a good resource.
My computer is going slower and slower and I know I have duplicates and all kinds of useless files (which I don’t even know about). I would bet about a third of my computer is clogged with “stuff” that MacCleanse would fix/clean up.
Keep up the good work (and your grades 8^)).

    what a great deal !

i must thank you for your newsletters, i keep most of them for future reference, when they do not specifically apply to my level of computer
knowledge and avidly, i read the ones that seem to matter in the present.

they are always very helpful and although i do not remember how exactly
it was that i became aware of your services and became a subscriber…
i am certainly glad i did and i compliment you on your indefatigable
mission towards little computer morons like me who are in need of a
    Home Visiting Doctor like you

you may not always have the right thermometer or the right pill
but i’m sure a lot of us are always glad to see you point your nose
at the window to check on, whoever might be feverish or stuck
    under the bed !!

    Win or No
i thank you again and wish you Great Health and Godspeed

Not sure what exactly is this competition all about. I’m guessing you’re looking for hits, but you could spice it up a bit by proposing a topic on which to comment about. I’m more into human language than programming (not that I like the first more though) so I wouldn’t know if this idea is appealing to you.

in any case… I could use the McCleanse App :)

Although both looks cool, I would prefer MacPilot. I love what you do! It’s cool, it’s useful, (and it’s time consuming… for people like people who spend hours on this site).
    Than you!
