A new version of Mac OS X is out, Mavericks. Todays post is a quick one as a reminder to install the new version of the software. The version of Mac OS X isn’t a big one. However, it does have some cool new features which you should take advantage of. Installation, as ever is quick an easy. The download is 5.29GB, which is not that big in comparison to previous updates. Since the rush is over it will download at the full rate. Installation is just a simple case of going through the menus.
The first step is to download the software off the app store.
Once download the installer will automatically run. Select the disk you wish to install it on. I recommend you install it on your root drive. If you have a solid state hard drive, this is a quick process.
Once the installer has ran, it will ask for you to restart your Mac. Upon restarting it will go into a second installer which will complete the process. This took about half an hour on my Mac. When this is complete it will bring you back to your login screen or desktop where you can begin using your new Mac OS. Its a quick, pain free process.
