Give More Meaning To Stacks

Stacks on Leopard are great. But they could be improved ever so slightly to give them more meaning. For example on the face of it the stacks all look the same and it can be very hard to differentiate between them. Luckily some clever folk has managed to come up with a small hack to enable you to add a small images to the stacks. This then enables you to easily see which stack is which. Install Adobe Kuler Into The Colour Palette

If you have ever use Colour Lovers or Adobe Kuler they are website dedicated to colour and colour palettes, great for designers or any one in need of a couple of matching colours. What some clever folk has done is make a small plugin/application that enables you to access the power of Adobe Kuler within the colour palette of Apple. For example when you want to pick a colour there is a small tab to enable you to search through the libraries. I’ll explain what I mean.

A "Hidden" Feature Of Dictionary

This really isn’t a hidden feature, hence the speech marks, but it is a cool feature of the dictionary application that not many people know about. If you load up dictionary from applications you can access the front and back covers. If you haven’t ever picked up a dictionary before these contain some tables of elements, US presidents, abbreviations and other cool things such as how to use the dictionary.

Hidden Mac OS X Preference Panes

This I think is a real trick that could save you some time . The aim of this trick is to install two hand preference panes in System Preferences (Applications > System Preferences). It is designed as a quick short cut to enable you to access some settings that you may need, also it is really cool to show off to your Mac friends. It is really simple to do and doesn’t involve anything complex. The two that will be installed are Archives and Disk Images, not the most used applications in the world, but cool none the less.
