A lot of people are subscribing to blogs and websites using RSS. I think it is a great way to keep update with the latests posts and updates of your favourite sites. I have many RSS feeds, and I really enjoy reading through them. This post will be about some of the top RSS readers for the Macintosh operating system. Most of them are very similar in nature in what they do (there is not a lot of variation for RSS feeds). This is just a quick tip, but it is really fun. Usually when you open up Terminal you will see the date and time of your last Terminal login. That is a bit boring. As a result there is a cool little command that you can use to give your self a custom welcome message, that is a lot more interesting. This tip using a sudo command so you will have to be careful.

For any one that has a wireless network and has the menu bar item, you will no that the items on the drop down list are a bit limited. For example you can’t see signal strength or any other factors, if you have a choice of wireless networks this could be a problem. As a result you could install a piece of software to do this for you. There is a work around for this.

Quite a while ago I wrote a post about uninstalling applications. It used an application through the use of a program called AppZapper. Since you had to buy this application it wasn’t a viable alternative for everyone. Thankfully some people have developed a free application called AppCleaner. It works the same way an it is free.
