This is a bit on an unconfirmed rumor on my part but I would like to post about and see what your feedback on the problem is. In a nutshell I have found on my MacBook Pro there seems to be a build up of static electricity. This is obviously present, since rubbing my hand over certain parts of the body I can feel a small electric charge discharging. This is only a minor discharge but it is still a build up of static electricity, good job I don’t have a heart condition.
I wanted to mention this tip as a warning to anyone who is using Time Machine on an supported drive. You may face problems and as a result lose your backups. This can be quite serious and as a result you need to take some caution.

In my previous post I mentioned about Quicklook plugins. It got me interested into how many plugins there are and what ones you can get. As a result I have looked all over the web for some the best Quicklook plugins. These are designed for nearly every file time imaginable. Some of them are really cool and should probably be included with the system, some are more unique and are for special groups of users who use specific files. There are 20 plugins in total. Arranged in alphabetical order, all of the links will take you to the download page. Most are free although there are a couple that you have to pay for. Clicking on any of the images will give you the full size version if you want to take a closer look. If I have missed off any please leave a comment. As a side note, usually all Quicklook plugins will enable the same features in coverflow.

If you think Exposè, Space and Dashboard run to fast and you want to slow them down a bit, there is a keyboard shortcut to enable you to make them appear and disappear a lot slower. By pressing the shift key plus the respective keyboard shortcut, F8 for Spaces, F9 10 and 11 for Exposè and F12 for the Dashboard they will appear and disappear a lot slower.

If you watch a lot of movies, read long pages and generally use your computer a lot and don’t want to move the mouse to stop the screen saver I have found a handy little application that does all this. Its called caffeine and is design to run in the menu bar and is great.
