Coda - Mac Web Development App

If you have been following my latest tweets I have mentioned regularly about website development. The reason behind this is due to the fact I am using Coda by Panic. Coda is an all in one application for developing and maintaining websites. It really has everything you need and trust me when I say you don’t need another program at all, not even your web browser. The program is a mix of CSSEdit, TextMate, Expandrive, Terminal, Transmit, Versions, Safari and a reference manual all in one.

I have a couple of domains, you probably have to. With the advent of cheap domain services, coupled with cheap hosting, it is really easy for anyone to host a website. As a result your domains, logins and a whole load of other passwords start to build up. As a result you get inundated with login and other information. You could store this on paper or in an spreadsheet. These are less than ideal, since they are insecure and not very pleasing to use. A while ago I mentioned about finding help pages in Terminal. Where by using the “man” command plus the name of the Terminal program you want to find out about you can view its information. What actually happens is Terminal goes onto theInternet and finds the help page online. Since it is going online why don’t you surf the site directly?

This is a little shoutout about a cool little site you should visit if you are an avid Mac fan. If you head over the mac.alltop.com you can visit a whole page of the latest Mac News. It brings all of the latest feeds from some of the big and small Mac sites and puts it all on one page. I have just been included, yey, as usual with theses kinds of things I am at the bottom of the list.
